16 November 1944: 0950 – Booby traps in Heijthuisen Church.

1525 – Enemy reported to have evacuated civilians from Neer.

17 November 1944: 1009 2 Subunits through Partridge.

1000 – Shot on several V targets.

1100-1200 – M targets and observed shooting.

1255 – Hull down tanks and SP guns coming in with approx 200 infantry. RF over the canal with two coys of 5 Camerons and engaging infantry 200x from him. A total of approx 30 rpg put down at intervals as directed by RF through BC 492. Counter attack repulsed and bridge head held firm. Congratulations by infantry for RF on magnificent shooting which completely disrupted the enemy attack.

1920 – Rum issue authorized.

2050 – Shot on fire plan Fijl.

2100 – Shot on operation Tasmania.

2140 – 1 Gordons across water.

2350 – BC 308 reports friends now in Basin.

22 November 1944: 1630 – Sitreps from 49 Div. Civilians report that enemy was going back 2 hours ago to Venlo and that village is heavily mined. One subunit going.

1650 – Rum issue authorized.

23 November 1944: 0925 – Guns to come out of action now – harbour parties to go off – 152 Bde area.

1040 – Ammo to be back loaded to 458 Coy RASC. No. of vehicles for move 141. Route Egchelbock. Panningen and 49 Div Axis – RV Move now. Regt unable to move for 2 hrs due to difficulties in pulling out of mud – several  vehicles and guns stuck. This reported to SCRA.

1330 Guns to go by 49 Div axis route and soft vehicles via Corduroy track RV for soft vehicles.

1600 – 307 in Leveroy. 308 and 492 in Heijthuizen.

1700 – 307 and 308 vehicles in but 492 require bulldozer to get out some  vehicles. Unable to obtain bulldozer but able to get tanks for 0700 hrs the next day. Captured enemy vehicle Mercedes Benz Car 4 str (chasis No. 412161)  BLRd.

2245 – BC 308 reported spandaus and mortars. Thought that gun moved up and down road. Boche patrol heard moving south past D OP and D Coy. O.P. fired. Patrol left personnel behind to spread alarm and despondency 2 sections going out tomorrow to round them up.
